International Certificate in Financial English Award Ceremony

ICFE Awards ceremony at the Ambassador's residence

The British Ambassador Chris O'Connor and the Deputy Director of the British Council Sarah Rolph presented International Certificates in Financial English (Cambridge ICFE) to 55 chartered accounts during a ceremony organised at the Ambassador's Residence.

To help professionals in finance demonstrate that they have the financial English skills necessary to work in an international environment, University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations and the Association of Certified Chartered Accounts (ACCA) have worked together to develop the International Certificate in Financial English (Cambridge ICFE).

Since 2008, British Council Tunisia has organised the ICFE Examinations and, to date, more than 55 Tunisian candidates have passed the exam. The British Council recognises the value of ICFE as it is specifically designed for accountants and finance professionals wanting to develop their English language skills in professional and real life situations. The test also has the benefit of being fully aligned to the internationally recognised benchmark of language ability – the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
