Visas for the UK

The Embassy has introduced an online appointments system, which visa applicants will automatically be directed to once they have completed their form online at www.visa4uk.fco.gov.uk.

Visa applicants will be able to choose an appointment day and time that is convenient to them, on which to submit their application and have their biometric fingerscans taken. This will mean a much swifter visit for applicants to the visa section with less waiting time.

Appointments will be available between 0815-1200  from Monday to Friday

Applicants are advised to come on their appointments. We cannot accept applications out of turn except for strong compassionate and mitigating circumstances. eg: death of a relative/ close friend or an emergency medical journey to the UK.

Applicants are advised to apply well in advance of their travel date.  The majority of non settlement applications take 5 days to consider with a few requiring further checks which may take up to 15 working days.  Our target is to process 90% of all non settlement applications within this time frame.  Settlement applications take up to 12 weeks to be processed.
